Of Boston, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 28, 2025 at the age of 90. Beloved wife for 57 years of Robert J. “Jack” Ovitt; loving mother of Jeffery (Erin Murray), Thomas (Renee) Tracy (Kim), Jerry (Pam) and Dennis Ovitt; dear sister of Joan Balling and Gary (Michele) Schmitt; grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Beulah Schmitt, a son, John Ovitt and 4 siblings, Carol Plumlee, Elaine Bowman and Judy Hellriegel and David Schmitt. Friends may call at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg, NY on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at St John the Baptist Church, Boston at 9:30AM.
