Of Hamburg, NY. Beloved wife for 25 years of the late Duane “Bud” Ihrig; dear sister of Nancy (Glenn)

Hanneman; step-mother of David (Margie) Ihrig; grandmother of 7 grandchildren; 14 great-

grandchildren; also survived by 2 nieces and a nephew; 2 great-nephews and 2 great-nieces. She was

predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Dorothy (nee Koester) Rauch and a step-son Michael Ihrig.

Jean graduated from Hamburg High School in 1949. She worked for NY Telephone in Hamburg, first as a

telephone operator, and later an administrative assistant, retiring after 30 years in 1981. A Mass of

Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 3 rd at St Francis of Assisi RC Church, 4263 St

Francis Dr. Hamburg, NY at 11 AM. The family suggests memorial contributions in Jean’s memory to the

SPCA, Erie County. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21
