James R. O’Neill

September 28, 1956 – June 5, 2026

James R. O’Neill, 69, of Hamburg, NY passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026 at his home with his family at his side. Beloved husband of Melinda M. (nee Natello) O’Neill; loving father of Jason C. ( Kayla) O’Neill; step-father of Faith M. (Seth) Zemla; cherished grandfather of Shamus J., Cameron R. and Benjamin R. O’Neill. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack R. and Amelia (nee Walczak) O’ Neill and a son, Brent M. Norman. Jim worked in the construction industry for Funk Home remodeling in W. Seneca, NY as a carpenter retiring after more than 30 years of service. He loved music and played the bass guitar for the “Wild Knights”, he enjoyed woodworking, camping and hiking. He also was an avid Buffalo sports fan. Most of all he enjoyed attending his children and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. Friends may call at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave. on Wednesday, June 10th from 4-7 PM, where a funeral service will follow at 7 PM. Please share online condolences at www.demmerleyfuneralhome.com.
