Richard G. Brechtel, 69, of Hamburg, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at his home; husband of Joan (nee Morreale) Brechtel; father of Lauren (Joshua) Hartke and Leanne (Brandon) White; grandfather of Josiah, Micah and Canaan Hartke; brother of Howard (late Sheila) Brechtel Jr. and Karen (Michael) Frisicaro; also survived by many nieces & nephews. Rick taught school at the Eden Jr. & Sr. High School from 1980- 2012 retiring after 32 years of service. In his free time Rick enjoyed golfing, playing and watching tennis also woodworking. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Revive Wesleyan, 4999 McKinley Pkwy Hamburg, NY at 10 AM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Donald M.
