Maria H. Thomas, 77, of Hamburg, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning June 19, 2026 at her home. Beloved wife for 52 years to Jerry H. Thomas; loving mother of Sean W. (Crystal)Thomas; cherished grandmother of Devon (Wyatt) Bryden, Katelynn (Leo) Yaw, Garrett Johnson and Cameron Thomas; great-grandmother of Siris and Ryzen; dear sister of Louise (Jim ) Adamczyk and Joane Kasprzak. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Gertrude Liakeas. Maria worked in the family business   “ Garden of Sweets” out of Buffalo, NY for many years. In her free time she enjoyed gardening and was known affectionately as the “  The Plant Lady” in the neighborhood. She also liked arts& crafts, crocheting and cross stitching. As per her wishes there will be no public viewing and services will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions in Maria’s memory to the Buffalo Greyhound Rescue.
