Erlinda Mantes Atencio

April 20, 1944 – July 4, 2026

Erlinda Mantes Atencio,82, of Hamburg, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning July 4, 2026 with her family at her side. Beloved wife of 46 years of Rogelio Aga Atencio; devoted and loving mother of Kristina M. (Stephen) Mitchell, Tricia M. (Greg) Moreau and Michael M. Atencio; cherished grandmother of Hawkins A. and Keanu A. Mitchell and Luke A. Moreau; dear sister of Carlos (Evalyna), Luis (Soledad), Prudencio (Felomina) and Modesta Mantes, Eulalia (Catalino) Chiong, Gloria (late David) Ebalo, Andres (Grace) and Adelfa Mantes; sister-in-law of Griselda Mantes; also survived by many nieces & nephews. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Santiago O. and Florenda (nee Maniago) Mantes, Benito (late Rosalina), Amanding and Felipe Mantes. Linda immigrated from the Philippines in 1968 and   worked in the healthcare industry retiring from Sisters Hospital as a Medical Technologist. During retirement, Linda enjoyed spending time with her “Apos” (grandchildren), baking, and was involved in the Cenacle Prayer group at St. Petes. Linda was a ray of sunshine to many, and will be greatly missed.  Relatives and friends may call at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg, NY on Thursday, July 9th from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 10^th at SS Peter & Paul Church, 66 E. Main St. Hamburg, NY at 10AM. Please assemble at the church.
