Donald R. Kruger

Donald R. Kruger,90, of Hamburg, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening July 22, 2026 at the Seneca Health Care Center in West Seneca, NY.

He was born on April 13, 1936 in Geneva, NY the son of the late Frank and Louise (nee Dyett) Kruger. On May 17, 1958 he married the love of his life Jane H. Kirst at SS Peter & Paul RC Church in Hamburg, NY.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 68 years Jane Kruger; his loving children, Mary Jane (Anthony) Mazur, Ann (late Jeffrey) Nyitrai and James ( Michelle) Kruger; 7 cherished grandchildren, Michael and David Mazur, Catherine (Ryan) Marchewka, Kelly (Thomas) Bohlen, Andrea (Andrew) Bermel, Melissa (Christopher) Landon and Timothy (Brianna) Kruger; 7 great grandsons; also survived by many nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 6 siblings.

Don graduated from Hamburg High School in 1954. He worked for L B Smith, a heavy equipment dealership in Cheektowaga, NY as a mechanic retiring after more than 20 years of service.

Don was an active member of St. Bernadette Church in Orchard Park, NY and also a member of Operating Engineers Local 17 in Lake View, NY.

In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Bernadette Church, 5930 S. Abbott Rd. Orchard Park, NY on Tuesday, August 11^th at 10 AM. Interment will follow in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery. Hamburg, NY. Please share online condolences at www.demmerleyfuneralhome.com.
