Obituary of Marguerite A. Hagelin

Hagelin, Marguerite A. "Peg" (nee Molke), age 63 of Buffalo and Eden, died at her home in Eden on Wednesday, July 7 following a long illness. Beloved wife of 37 years to Michael T. Hagelin. Cherished mother of Kathleen (Daniel) Dubnicki of Buffalo, Kevin Hagelin of Hamburg and Ryan (Pauli) Hagelin of San Diego and adored grandmother of Rebecca, Andrew and Theodore Dubnicki. Peg is also survived by her father, Robert Molke, Sr. (late Betty) of SC, her sister of Kathleen (late Brian) Walsh of NJ and brother, Robert Molke, Jr. of NJ, her dear mother-in-law Rita (late Howard) Hagelin of Hamburg and an extended loving family of in-laws, nieces and nephews. Peg graduated from Pace University in White Plains and worked first at Solomon Brothers on Wall Street. After her marriage she worked as Personnel Director at BryLin Hospital and Gold Dome Bank in Buffalo. She and Michael raised their family in the Village of Hamburg, where she was active at SS. Peter & Paul Church and was a member of Hamburg Garden Club. She also was a member of The Garrett Club in Buffalo and The Clarksburg Club in Eden. Peg was a devoted wife and mother and a kind, generous friend. She was an avid gardener, an excellent cook, an accomplished knitter and a new but enthusiastic Mahjong player. She and Michael enjoyed extended travels, in recent years to Ireland, France, Italy, Iceland, Greece and Sweden. Family will welcome friends at DONALD M. DEMMERLEY FUNERAL HOME, 21 Pierce Avenue, Hamburg on Friday, July 9 from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Cathedral, 50 Franklin Street, Buffalo on Saturday, July 10 at 9:30 AM followed by interment at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Hamburg.
