It seems to be a common theme when people speak of Sandy; That SMILE! Her beautiful beautiful smile. When Sandy smiled, she made everybody smile. I worked with Sandy years ago and her smile was contagious everywhere! I am so very sorry for your loss.

Another melanoma warrior taken too soon - Sandy was a great help to so many on mpip - I was so fortunate to work with Sandy last May in Tampa at the Dean Hedstrom Golf Outing For Melanoma - her smile lite up the course - I am grateful fro that short amount of time - it will be in my heart always - May her memory be eternal - As a friend wrote to me almost 7 years ago now when my husband lost his battle to this beast - "it is only time , just time." You will be with Sandy again - With a broken heart, Leni

mr ron--I'm sure we have met at one time or another at Roswell Park. My fiancee, Phillip Lewandowski, was taking treatment at Roswell when Sandy was. I know they had many meaningful conversations. Phillip passed away in March, 2010. Please accept my condolences. Sandy was such a strong, optimistic person. I know she fought to the end. My prayers are with you and your family.

I had the pleasure of knowing Sandy from early childhood at Charlotte Avenue through all our years at Hamburg High. Her beautiful smile, her amazing sense of humor, her open and honest personality and her joyous laugh, are the wonderful qualities I will remember most. I had such a wonderful time with her at our August reunion -- it saddens me deeply to learn of this loss. My prayers for peace are with her entire family. God bless, Jane (and Andy) Flanigan

To all Sandy's family i pass on my condolences and know that the memories of recent days will fade and the good memories of the past will just get stronger. i am sorry i never had the chance to meet Sandy but know what a friend she was to me when my son was suffering.
