Obituary of Edith D. Pluta

Pluta, Edith "Darlene" (nee Fuller), age 76 of Orchard Park, departed this life July 3, 2018 surrounded by family. Born in Pompey, New York, she was the oldest daughter of Nora Irene Leach Fuller and Theodore H. Fuller. In 1961 she married her most devoted and ever loving husband Edward Henry Pluta having 3 children. Early on she took enormous care and effort to provide a loving and caring home while instilling key values such as integrity, politeness and empathy. She was a most captivating beauty who was struck down early by a cruel disease. The disease often impacted her day to day living but never her beliefs and hopes. Participating in research treatment trials she knew her chances for a cure were worlds away, but she wanted to aid in improving other people's lives. Her sharp intelligence and wit were slowly robbed away over the years, but the disease never got her cheerful disposition until the end. Her daughters cannot express the gift they were given by having "Darlene" as their mom. Family and friends called at the DONALD M. DEMMERLEY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 21 Pierce Avenue, Hamburg on Friday, July 6 from 7-9 PM where a funeral service was held on Saturday, July 7 at 1:00 PM. Flowers are gratefully declined.
