Obituary of Peter F. Fenger

Fenger, Peter F., age 96 of Hamburg, New York, August 6, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Mary "Mollie" (nee McShane) Fenger. Loving father of John Christian (Paula) and Thomas Owings Fenger and Emmeline Ann (David) Montanye. Grandfather of Frances, Thomas, Peter, Casey, Parker, Ian and Harris. Great-grandfather of Mollie. Brother of the late John and Marguerite Fenger. Family and friends called at the DONALD M. DEMMERLEY FUNERAL HOME, 21 Pierce Avenue, Hamburg on Tuesday, August 10 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at SS. Peter & Paul RC Church, 66 East Main Street, Hamburg on Wednesday, August 11 at 10:30 AM. Burial in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Hamburg at a later date. Peter was a 1943 graduate of Hamburg High School. He served his country during WW II from 1943-1946 in the U. S. Air Corp. In 1949 he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University. He was retired from Moog in East Aurora, New York. Peter was a former board member of the Hamburg Historical Society and the Hamburg Community Center. He was an active and enthusiastic member of the Model A Restoration Club of WNY and owned a 1929 Model A Roadster. Peter interests included family genealogy, classical music , traveling and cars.
