Obituary of John W. Stevens

Stevens, John W. "Jack", age 92, of Hamburg, January 2, 2014. Beloved and devoted husband of the late Ruth (nee Smithmyer) for 71 years. Loving father of Diane Klass, Sue (Robert) Blaszak, Jack, Jeffrey (Lynda) and Brian Stevens. Loving granfather to 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at SS Peter & Paul Church Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Visitation at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, Inc., 21 Pierce Avenue, Hamburg, Tuesday 4-8 PM. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Hospice Foundation or SS Peter & Paul Church. Mr. Stevens served in WW II in Germany with the 82nd Airborne Division - 325th Infantry Glider Unit, retired from Ford Stamping Plant in 1983 and was a member of Hamburg Council 2220 K of C. The family wishes to thank his wonderful caretakers Michelle Comstock, Cindy Coccia and Shalise Smith for their kindness and devotion.
