Gates, Michael J., age 45 of Lackawanna, May 5, 2017. Husband of Stacey (nee Doktor). Son of William (Rita) and the late Judy Gates. Brother of Leslie (Robert) Wilson, Maggie (James) Wilson and Andrew (Jennifer) Gates. Also survived by a niece and several nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at SS. Peter & Paul RC Church, 66 East Main Street, Hamburg on Tuesday, May 9 at 10:00 AM. Visitation took place at the DONALD M. DEMMERLEY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 21 Pierce Avenue, Hamburg on Monday, May 8 from 2-8 PM. Flowers are gratefully declined. Michael worked at Essendant in Orchard Park as the facility manager. He enjoyed music, bowling and dogs. His love of the outdoors included golf, boating and hiking.
