Stephan- Laura C. (3/30/1922 - 1/26/2022)

Of Orchard Park, NY, formerly of Hamburg, NY, died at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Paul Stephan for 59 years; devoted mother of Paula (late James) Shank, Leland (Tami) and Duane (Joseph Amato) Stephan; cherished grandmother of Stephanie Becker, Alison (Timothy) Meils, Kathryn (Jeffrey) Tarry, Kristen Dugan and Michael ( Kristalynn) Dugan. Laura graduated from E. Aurora High School in 1938 and a 1940 graduate of Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ. She worked as a secretary for the Hamburg Central School District retiring after many years of service. She had a philanthropic personality who enjoyed serving her community, arts & crafts and family reunions.For 67 years, she was a member of the Armor Volunteer Ladies Aux. and held various positions.  She enjoyed making unique gifts for her entire family.  Laura had a knack for growing beautiful violets and was a fantastic pie baker.  A Celebration of Laura's life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 4536 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park. Arrangements entrusted to the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave., Hamburg, NY.
