Age 79, of Hamburg, NY entered eternal rest after a long illness on Friday, November 25, 2022;  Loving wife of 56 years to James E. Crotty; devoted mother of Peter (Amanda), Christopher (Jennifer), Brendan (Hope), Tara, Martin (Regan) Crotty, Maura (Robert) Artman, and Kathleen (Patrick) Kretzer; dear sister of Charleen (John Jr.) Quinn and Marleen (Edward) Hoak; and cherished grandmother of  twenty grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Aileen (nee Gallagher) Broderick and her brother Michael Broderick. She was a graduate of St Mary’s Seminary in Buffalo, and Marygrove College. Kate’s biggest gift in life was her family. She was an extraordinary mother to seven children.  She also worked as an assistant for three administrations at the Town Clerk’s Office in Hamburg, NY.  Kate loved the beaches in Angola, Florida and Port Colbourne, ON.  She was an avid walker, and an irrepressible Buffalo sports fan.  A family service was held on November 30.  Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial contributions may be made in Kate’s memory to Hospice& Palliative Care Buffalo. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave Hamburg, NY.
