Martha May, 94, formerly of Boston, NY passed away on December 20, 2022 in Lancaster, NY after a brief illness.  Martha was born on July 3, 1928 in Muncy, PA the daughter of the late Warren and Blanche (nee Fenstermacher) McCarty.  In 1948, Martha married Arthur May of Boston, NY, the two were married for over 67 years and raised their family in Boston.

 Martha retired from Fisher-Price Toys in East Aurora after 20 years of service. She loved sewing and, in particular, quilt making. She and her husband had been active in the Boston Seniors Club for many years. 

 Martha is survived by her daughter Dianna Southward, daughter-in-law Jackie May, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur, and sons, Gerald and John. 

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John the Baptist RC Church, 6895 Boston Cross Rd. Boston, NY on Tuesday, December 27 at 11 a.m. Please assemble at church. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to St John the Baptist RC Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg, NY.
