Age 96 of Hamburg, NY passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023 at his home. Beloved husband of the late Doris Bell (nee Blackmon) Krause ; dear father of Norman (Debra), Louise, Charles (Elizabeth) , the late David Krause and the late Susan Smallwood; cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces and nephews; he was predeceased by his parents, Cortland Sr. and Ruth (nee Ames) Krause, three brothers, Cortland Jr., Ira and William Krause. Arthur was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. He worked for Bethlehem Steel as a foreman retiring with 33 years of service. He was an avid gardener, who enjoyed his beer, playing the violin and bingo at Orchard Park American Legion Post 567. Friends may call at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023 from 4-6 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023 at 10 AM.
