Age 91 of Hamburg, NY passed away peacefully on March 19, 2023. Beloved husband of 57 years of the late Carole (nee Wishart) Tallman; devoted father of Deborah (Scott) Curtis, Thomas (Donna), Wayne (Dorie) and James (Amy Bennett) Tallman; cherished grandfather of Katherine (Timothy) Preusch, Emily Tallman, Jennifer and Bradley Curtis, Casey (Ryan) DeMuth, Rebecca and Samantha Tallman, Nicole Curtis, Jeffrey (Lydia Ostryniec) Tallman; great-grandfather of Austin Preusch, Hadley and Nora DeMuth; He was predeceased by his parents , Alfred B. and Bernadine (nee Lappin)Tallman Sr., his second wife Constance (Krueger) Tallman, a grandson, Brock Wesley Curtis and a great- grandson, Owen Preusch. Tom was a proud patriot who served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked for and retired from Moore Business Forms Systems in Amherst, NY as an account executive with over 30 years of service. Tom was very active in his community he was a founding member of Hamburgh Holidays, a former Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 400 in Hamburg, a past school board member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic School and he was the head usher at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice, Fla. Tom was most proud of going back to school at the age of 61 to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Empire State College in Buffalo, NY. He also gave the commencement speech for that graduating class. Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday March 26, 2023 from 4-7 PM at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral, 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at SS Peter & Paul Church, 66 E. Main St. Hamburg at 10 AM. Please assemble at the church. Burial will follow at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
