Age 90, of Eden, NY passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee Krug-Carr) Dole; loving father of Margaret (late Robert) Skura, the late Lawrence (Jennifer), the late Thomas, John (Jill Pendergast) Dole; cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; loving companion of the late Mary Mumm; ; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Margaret (nee Casey) Dole, a sister, Marie (late Donald) Wenke and 2 brothers, Lawrence (late Margaret) and Robert (Carolyn) Dole. Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a carman for Conrail in Buffalo, NY retiring with 44 years of service. Don was a member of St Mary’s E. Eden Church, Eden American Legion, Seniors of Eden, Orchard Park Seniors and the Hamburg Knights of Columbus (4^th Degree Knight). Friends may call at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg, NY on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at St Mary’s Church, 8175 E. Eden Rd, E.
