Of Hamburg, NY, entered into rest on May 21, 2023. Beloved husband of 62 years to Shirley (nee
Arbogast) Schara; devoted father of David , William (Debra), Richard (Tracie) and the late Thomas
Schara; cherished grandpa and grampie of Devin (Kendra), Amanda, Chandra (Justin), Angelina, Aurora
(Nick), Reece and Alyssa; adored great-grandfather of Emily, Kennedy, Savannah, Joshua, Dexter,
Jocelynn and Maverick; loving son of the late Albert and Julia (nee Hund) Schara. Friends may call at the
Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg, NY on Friday from 4-7 PM. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at SS Peter & Paul Church, 66 E. Main St. Hamburg at 10
AM. Interment will follow at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery. Bill graduated from Hamburg High School in
1950 and was a member of the 1949-50Hamburg High School “Team of Distinction” He served his
country as a Staff Sgt in the U.S. Air Force. He also worked for Buffalo Niagara Mohawk retiring in
1992.Bill was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
He also loved hunting, fishing and the NY Yankees. In lieu of flowers donations in Bill’s name may be
