There are so many memories of Matt and all of them fond..always happy... always a pleasure to be around ...every time I think of you it brings a smile to my face....and never a dull moment...our trip to Cincinnati for the the Bills vs Bengals play off game is something I often reflect on and laugh ... Matt, where do I start? A business partner for 17 years we had some great memories surrounding our Subway sandwich shop in Orchard Park. But more importantly, you were a great friend who was quick to smile and oh that infectious laugh of yours. Yout love for baseball and the Twins, who in your final year of your life blessed you by making the playoffs. The many Sabres, Bills, and Bisons games we attending together along with my brother Mike. The beers we raised, the stories we told, the experiences we shared I'll remember always. The time we met up with Mary after a Sabres playoff game and I suggested leaving you at the restaurant on Elmwood Avenue so Mary would have to drive you home, that was the start of a great love affair. The time you called to tell me you were planning on asking Mary to be your wife. The two of you made an amazing couple and shared a deep love for each other. You never gave up on love and Mary made you very happy. Matt, I'm going to miss you every day and will often think of you smile and laugh which will put a smile on my face. The photo shared was from a few years ago before Ben Wood headed back to Arizona, a memorable night it was. God bless you my dear friend.

I was lucky to live near Matt and have him as a good friend growing up in Hamburg. We played sports everday and would go swimming in his pool in the summer. Matt had a great laugh and was always fun to be around. My condolences to his wife and family.
