(nee Nicholson)

Of Hamburg, NY, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024; beloved wife of the late Thomas E. Grabecki; devoted mother of Katherine “Katy” and Thomas Grabecki; dear sister of Patrice (Kurt) Marcks and Bruce Nicholson; close friend  of Teneva Dennis, also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Anne (nee Lord) Nicholson. She was a 1971 graduate of Hamburg High School. Polly loved cats and belonged to the Buffalo Cat Fanciers- CFA Club where she held many positions and enjoying showing cats at the annual CFA Allbreed cat show in Hamburg, NY. She also was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan with her favorite player being Thurman Thomas and she was an avid Buffalo Sabers fan as well. Friends may call at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 4-7 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 11 AM. The family suggests memorial contributions in Polly’s memory be made to the More Than Strong Cancer Fund an organization that Polly strongly supported. Interment will follow in the Prospect Lawn Cemetery. Please share online condolences at www.demmerleyfuneralhome.com.
