Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Tisdale

Elizabeth Ann (nee Diemert) Tisdale

10/12/1949 to 7/7/2024

 

Of Boston, NY passed away on July 7, 2024 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late Vernon R. Tisdale Jr. whom she married on July 12, 1969; devoted mother of Douglas (Amy Duffy) and Jeffrey (Holly) Tisdale; cherished step-grandmother of James (Melissa) and Nicholas (Julie) Duffy; step great-grandmother to Alexandria, Savannah, Christina, Landon, and Maya; dear sister of Kathleen (James) Spinella. She was born on October 12, 1949 in Buffalo, NY.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Jane (nee Meyer) Diemert.

Elizabeth earned her BS degree in Nursing at Trocaire College followed by a Masters degree at UB. She worked in the healthcare industry as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neo-Natal care. She was employed by Children’s Hospital from 1980-2004 and then worked at Mercy Health of Cincinnati in Ohio from 2005-2015. She was an active member of her church, St. John the Baptist, and led Bible Study. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, arts & crafts and reading. She especially enjoyed reading The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien. Last but not least, she loved the outdoors.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family, date and time to be announced. Interment will be made in St Vincent Cemetery.
