So sad to hear of Mr Thornhurst’s passing! My dad and Jim were in the service together and our families spent time together in my younger years. Jim kept in touch with his army buddies and would always chat with dad about those days and what everyone was up to now! Jim will be remembered with love! Our sincere condolences to the family! I meant Jim and his family back in the mid-1970s and he was a great man and a good man I was in junior high school when I met him and I always loved his humor and his laugh and when we moved to Flagstaff Arizona in 1979 I used to come back to Hamburg every summer and spend time there during my summer break, we used to play horseshoes in his backyard, which I never forgot. He was a very kind man and very nice to me I’ll never forget those summers and I never forgot Jim. God bless Jim and his family. Sincerely jimmy
